A Smile...

I wanted to smile tonight ...I found myself getting to a low, sad place - one I don't like.  I decided to change that.  So, I started browsing through pictures.  And, I found some that really made me smile -- no laugh out loud.  I wanted to share this picture with all of you -

Here is Luke ... at Wolfson ... around 2am (he never slept).  Because Luke was always awake, we used to take long walks around the hospital throughout the night.  There's something fun about roaming a hospital in the middle of the night when everyone else is asleep.  We used to visit all different parts of the hospital; checking out new floors; waving to people in the ER waiting room.  Luke was so happy during our midnight walks ...

He is giving me a thumbs-down because he didn't want to go back to his room.  Luke didn't have words at this point, but that sweet face is sure "talking."  I love this boy.  God truly blessed our lives with this sweet boy who remains the "strongest, biggest" little guy I know.

Thank you, Luke, for the smile tonight.
